Barrier To Entry

You know, one of the things I like best about consulting is that there's virtually no barrier to entry. You take about any profession, I don't care if it's a plumber or a realtor, if it's a podiatrist or optometrist, if it's an insurance person, you have to buy a lot of things to get into practice, to get into business. With consulting, if you have a computer and a client, you're a consultant.

It really takes virtually no money to get into consulting. I love the fact that there's no barrier to entry. You don't have to have a specific license. You don't have to have a specific degree. You don't have to have specific software. If you have a computer and you have a client, you're a consultant. Welcome to the world of consulting. I think you'll do really well.
